Since 1895, York Wallcoverings has been crafting wallpaper from the same factory location in historic and picturesque York County Pennsylvania. Today York is the oldest and largest wallcovering manufacturer in the United States, creating residential and commercial wallcoverings sold in more than 40 countries.

The York Contract division evolved from a need in the commercial wallcovering marketplace for sophisticated designs that could also meet industry durability standards. Breakthrough technology and state-of-the-art printing presses allowed York to develop a Type II vinyl with more colors, sharper registration, and larger vertical repeats than previously available.

These new printing capabilities enable the company’s highly acclaimed design studio to create an infinite variety of finely detailed designs, often drawing on York’s revered archival collection as a source of reference.

With a long proud history, York Wallcoverings is able to draw on its past for inspiration, but the company’s focus is clearly on the future.
